“Nigeria: The South Africa of West Africa”

Quality Communication Productions (QCP) TV, a media company that produces very high quality work, recently presented this fascinating perspective of one of Africa’s booming economies, Nigeria.

Emerging as one of West Africa’s golden nations, Naija, as it is popularly called, is the most populous country in Africa with over 400 different ethnic groups.  It may not be one of the Seven Wonders of the World yet, but it is the seventh most populous country in the world.

The top ten list of most populated countries in the world, along with India and China, isn’t the only list this country of 174 million people has managed to join.  Nigerian native, Aliko Dangote, was listed on Forbes 2013 World Billionaires list as the 43rd richest person in the world.  In the recent publication of Forbes Africa, the list of  Africa’s Billionaires showed Nigeria leading with about 20 out of 55 billionaires compared to South Africa’s 9.

According to South Africa IOL’s BusinessReport,  Nigeria is now the continent’s second largest economy following South Africa; and it is set to overtake Africa’s golden state within the next 10 years.   The nation is a major exporter of oil, which makes up about 35 percent of its GDP according to OPEC.

Urbanization is rapidly spreading across the country.  Haven Homes, a subsidiary of Haven Global Resources Ltd., and other Real Estate developers are transforming the residential landscape of Nigeria, bringing aesthetic value to architecture and design in Abuja and Lagos.

QCP TV takes the viewer through highlights of what Nigeria has to offer in its many cities, towns and entertainment hubs.  It may not be too long before this birthplace of Nollywood makes its way onto the top of the list of world tourism and leisure centers.
