Cape Town V&A Waterfront Will Get A New Luxury Cruise Terminal!
The Victoria and Alfred Waterfront in Cape Town is one of the most popular tourist attractions in South Africa, and it is about to become an even hotter destination for luxury cruise ships! The city’s cruise terminal will be getting a huge upgrade, which will cost about $14.6 million, in an effort to better accommodate the thousands of passengers who generate about 200 million rand for the local economy each year!
This investment will open up a new scenic port, which offers a great view of Table mountain, and is within walking distance of the V&A Waterfront. Public transportation stops are also prevalent in the area, so tourists will be able to hop on and off the city’s buses at will, as soon as they disembark! There are more than enough hotels in the area, too, and tourists will have no trouble finding a room to stay in, if needed.
The cruise terminal facility, which will be the tourists’ first impression of Cape Town (and of South Africa in general), will offer retail and hospitality services, and will become a world-class luxurious facility which will attract even more cruise liners, thus boosting tourism – and its revenues!
